---The Episcopal Diocese of Nevada
From the early
Church, Christians have developed forms of daily prayer and worship,
centered on the regular reading of scripture and the recital of psalms.
The communities of monks through the ages developed seven of these
regular prayer times each day--from which we have distilled just
two for public and individual worship: “Morning Prayer” and “Evening
Such regular spiritual discipline is commended to all, and especially when it is possible for groups of Christians to meet together.
Daily Office liturgy is brief.
You will find forms for FAMILY daily morning , noon, evening & night prayers in our 1979 Book of Common Prayer on page 136.
