There are three ways to be considered for the next Bishop of Nevada:

1: NOMINATION

Nominations are to be made on the NOMINATION FORM or a facimile of it, with:
1) The original signature of Nominator
2) The original signature of the nominee (to certify that he/she assents to being nominated)

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THAT "NOMINATIONS" FOR THE NEW BISHOP OF NEVADA CAN BE MADE
You can get the form
HERE
or Call the Diocesan Office (702) 737-9190
or send an eMail asking for a copy to be mailed to you
or photocopy the form from this website, at a library
or from a friend who downloads and prints it

Persons who are being nominated must sign the Nomination Form and then
fulfill the requirements in the Application Packet below.

2: APPLICATION

A direct application to be considered as the next Bishop of Nevada may be filed by any Priest in the Episcopal Church who meets the canonical requirements, which are outlined in the Nomination / Application Packet. Suffragan Bishops are eligible as well as Diocesan Bishops or Bishops Coadjutor of a Diocese for which they have served at least five years. The materials required for making application and how they are to be filed are all included in the Nomination / Application Packet, which can be downloaded from the link below.

3: PETITION

The Petition Process is designed to replace "Nominations from the Floor" at Convention. It will not begin until the candidates selected by the Search Committee have been announced. When the Petition Process is opened (sometime in July) the same questions and background checks will be required of these candidates. Our timeline will have the date as soon as it is set by our Standing Committee, and detailed instructions will be provided at that time. It will require a greater number of signatures in order to demonstrate support for this person around the Diocese. All potential candidates are encouraged to become either a "Nominee" or an "Applicant," as described above, rather than entering through the Petition Process. However, all final candidates will be considered equally by Convention Delegates in October.
