Dr.
Wayne Muller in Carson City
March 16-18, 2007

The Rev. Dr.
Wayne Muller addressed a gathering of nearly 100 at St. Peter's Episcopal
Church, Carson City, Nevada on Friday evening, March 16, 2007. Noting that 2007 is perhaps
the last year he will be traveling for lectures, Dr. Muller spoke on
the topic "How then Shall we Live" on this first of the three
day workshop as a part of the annual Lenten Lecture Series sponsored
by the Episcopal Church in Nevada's capital city.
Dr. Muller set the stage for his weekend workshop,
"Touching the Divine" by helping those attending to focus on
the four questions frequently asked about our lives:
- Who am I?
- What
do I love?
- How do
we live, knowing that we are going to die?
- What is your gift to the family of the Earth?
Lenten Lecture
Series continued all day Saturday, March 17, and concluded with the
Sermon at St. Peter's 10am Contemporary Worship on Sunday, March
18. Wayne
Muller is the founder of BREAD
FOR THE JOURNEY, a philanthropic organization
which supports and nurtures neighborhood generosity and creates new wealth
in local communities.
He
is an ordained minister, a therapist, and an author. A graduate of Harvard
Divinity School, he has spent the last twenty-five years working closely
with some of the most disadvantaged members of society. He is the founder
of the Institute for Engaged Spirituality, a Senior Scholar with the Fetzer
Institute, and Extended Faculty of the Institute of Noetic Sciences.
