9/24/07:Children’s Ministry Director: Reno First United Methodist Church is seeking a Children’s Ministry Director. FUMC reflects a diverse congregation, looking to expand and grow the Children’s program. The Director will oversee volunteer teachers for Sunday school, help to select curriculum and activities, and coordinate closely with youth and music programs.
Candidates should have prior experience working in Children’s education and a clear sense of religious calling. Position is part-time; 20 hours per week. Work hours flexible, with exception of Sunday morning.

WE NEED AN ADMINISTRATOR & Other assistance

The Diocesan Resource Center has begun to be enormously valuable to those who use it. We can purchase expensive curricula and other materials that are beyond the financial means of an individual parish. We are developing a rich collection that is also beyond the means of any one congregation.

In order to continue the development of the Resource Center, we are at present searching for people with two particular sets of skills: education skills and library resource management skills. The Educator part of the ministry needs a person(s) excited about education and the resources that go along with it, willing to be in touch with parish educators about their wants and needs, and willing to advocate for Christian Education and Formation around the diocese. The Manager part of the ministry needs a person(s) with the skills to begin to use the cataloguing software we own, to manage the incoming and outgoing materials on a regular basis, to place orders for new materials in collaboration with the Educator, and to oversee the practical side of the Resource Center.
