A Case Study presented to the LIVING STONES Conference

Nevada has been a leader in the development of TOTAL (“Shared” or “Mutual”) MINISTRY. Most of the 119 Nevada clergy are locally trained and most serve the parish from which they undertook their ministry preparation. Many of the parish staffs include permanent Deacons. [See Deacon's Pages] This Diocese includes the Ministry of all the Baptised among those we prepare and support for mission. The Ministry Commission is actively developing training guidelines for both ordination and licensure for lay ministries. Because the Commission's goal is competency rather than completion of specific courses, they are not "approving" or withholding approval for specific academic courses. However online resources to prepare for pre-ordination will be suggested by the Commission here , as soon as they are available.
