| Healing
& understanding are focus of the WINDSOR2004 Report of the EAMES
COMMISSION on Anglincan Unity
Monday, October 18, was the Church's annual observance of
the Feast of St. Luke, a physician who remains a patron of other healers,
and was an early missionary in the spread of Christianity through the
Roman world.
This year, October 18 also brought the release of “The Windsor 2004
Report” of the Lambeth Commission on Anglican unity, an international
panel charged last year by the Archbishop of Canterbury to explore the
nature of ties that unite the world's 77 million Anglicans in 38 church
provinces spanning 164 countries.
In the light of that report, many of us are considering what it means
to be an Anglican; What is means to be an Episcopalian. What is this Church
to which we belong? BELOW ARE ARTICLES AND OTHER
MATERIALS THAT MAY SHED LIGHT ON THESE QUESTIONS
